Renovation 20,000 square foot offices for a manufacturing company The new Matthews International offices combine three floors of corporate office functions onto one floor. The new office design provides an efficient and flexible space for Matthews. The concept is to take advantage of the incredible views of Pittsburgh's downtown and north side by locating both executives and staff at the floor's perimeter around common and shared spaces. The design also recognizes Matthews International's traditional heritage by showcasing its business. Bronze, a major component of one of Matthews' product lines, was used as trim in both the new construction and the furniture. Bronze statuary, the core of the corporation's art collection and produced by the company, compliments the interior finishes. In addition to the corporate office, The Design Alliance renovated the building lobby and upgraded the building system. The Design Alliance continues to work with Matthews in developing subtenant build out space in the remainder of the building. |
